About Kieran Butler

Kieran’s route into coaching follows his own journey of exploration and self-discovery, having graduated in 2011 in a time of significant economic challenge, Kieran secured work soon after graduation but remained unclear as to what path to take. What Kieran did know, however was that he was drawn to service, to be of support to people. The question for Kieran was what path to take?

He  continued to engage in a process of reflection & discovery and through this process and by being open to support himself  including  availing of coaching, Kieran successfully transitioned into the community development/ social enterprise sector and, soon began studying Coaching & Coaching Psychology in UCC. Through Kieran’s journey of exploration and by availing of supports to achieve clarity, Kieran realized coaching was his path to being of service to others. Kieran identified that he could be of service as a coach helping others in their process of career self discovery and begin to value their own unique blend of strengths, becoming their own best advocates in a rapidly changing labour market.

The main stay of Kieran’s professional experience has been in the areas of career direction working with a diverse client base with experience in a wide range of roles, ( both junior & senior), within corporate environments, small & medium sized enterprises, start-up businesses. who wish to return to similar roles or reinvent their career into new roles & sectors. In addition to his coaching work within the community development/ social enterprise sector, Kieran has worked on many development projects including co-ordinating rural enterprise training projects, IT literacy and  community group facilitation/ capacity building.

Kieran began Future Careers building on his experience with a specific mission to support those in work re-imagine the future of their career path as being one of possibilities, especially if the light in their experience of work has grown dim. Kieran is committed to providing clients  a safe and powerful space to explore their career, identify what truly matters, understand their unique blend of strengths, skills and values and how this informs their direction. Clients work with Kieran on a variety of career areas, the most common areas being finding new work, preparing a set of actions to position themselves for internal promotion and significant career transformation.
